About me

I am a father of a son in elementary school... I was recently widowed but have not let that stop my search for love. (I'm not looking for some one like my former wife... just a woman who is right for me who I can be right for; RIGHT NOW. ;) People come in our lives for a reason, and leave for a reason... Like footprints on our hearts. I am healing and looking for that fun companion to enjoy the things I love most: READING. BOOKSTORES. DEEP INTELLECTUAL CONVERSATION. LISTENING TO ALL TYPES OF MUSIC ( BUT NO RAP HIP HOP ETC. Is that even music??!) PHILOSOPHIZING ABOUT THE IMPOSSIBLE, IMPROBABLE, RELIGION, ETHICS, HISTORY, WHAT-IFs... ACTING SILLY ECCENTRIC GOOFY FUNNY ENJOYING LIFE, SMILING. DRINKING COPIOUS UNNECESSARY AMOUNTS OF COFFEE. (WHILE READING. DID I MENTION READING?) I am very fit, but do not work out much though I like the outdoors. I am an avid fisherman and golfer. I run several clubs, and am a member of local organizations devoted to each. I am a college graduate and fancy myself an intellectual (not because of the degree but because I think I have a brain that works overtime, won't shut off, and I don't even get paid for it!) and I thoroughly enjoy deep conversation with anyone who is open minded and kind. My family is the center of my world; my son and extended family. And I would love to have a woman with whom I could share our crazy, silliness! Those closest to me understand my quirky, dorky, eccentric, intellectual, sarcastic wit which is never rude or disrespectful--- just definitely off beat!
