About me

Hi, my name is Maria and I was born in Yekaterinburg, Russia. I have lived in Oregon since I was adopted at age 10, with my bio brother and sister and two adoptive sisters. My dad is a pediatrician and my mom is a special education teacher. They have inspired me to further my education and try my best to change the world for the better! Currently I am a student at the University of Oregon where I am studying to be a teacher. I speak and read both English and Russian fluently and am in the process of learning Spanish. I'm a really fun loving girl, easy going, creative, very curious and eager to learn. I love music, some of my favorites are Michael Jackson, the Beatles, the Doors and Pink Floyd. My favorite kind of movies are the black and white classics from the golden age of cinema, romances and dramas. I also spend a lot of time drawing, reading and cycling. I play both acoustic guitar and piano and did ballet when I was younger. My ultimate goal in life is to teach in a third world country. There are so many kids overseas that need help and could have a better future if someone would reach out to them. If I can make a difference in just one life I can die happy. First off someone honest who just wants to be friends. I don't want a boyfriend right now, I sure as heck don't want to get married. No pervs, I'm not very pretty anyway.
