DON'T RESPOND—unless you have a picture posted and have read my entire profile. My picture taken in November 2007. I am petite & slender, a dancer in young life; still dancing for myself. I'm a dog lover and don't generally do “cute” but when it comes to my English Setter (and any other dog) I'm a pushover. You will find me goofy--particularly around dogs--but grounded, affectionate, nurturing and unpretentious. I value my friendships as integral to a happy life and I don't forsake my women friends when I'm involved with a man. I watch mostly non-commercial TV and radio. I like the theater, movies, lectures, museums, etc. I'm interested in politics and news, land use and urban issues and the political history of the U.S., interior design and sewing my own clothes. I think it's important to appreciate the every-day-ness of life. I spend many hours nesting. I'm handy with a wrench or a drill, landscaping my yard or building planters. I love making dinner at home for friends, trying different red wines and amber ales, or eating ethnic food in a neighborhood restaurant. Conversation is important to me whether it's intense or low key.
DON'T RESPOND—unless you are an educated, brainy, somewhat brawny man—brainy first. This is very important to me. Someone verbal and dynamic with similar values and interests. Someone who can be my friend and my steamy lover. I will be most comfortable with someone who likes (loves?) dogs; someone who is playful and laughs easily, can be silly and serious. I'm NOT impressed by machismo or pretentious shows of money. I prefer personality. Please be in reasonably good physical shape--no, not Mr. Atlas! But not the guy in the ad who's walking his dog on the treadmill while he sits in his undershirt in front of the TV. Since I indicate an age range, please respect my wishes.
