About me

My character? Laid-back and easy-going, competitive when it comes to sports, inquisitive about all things particularly natural science, not driven by money or power. I like ... being outdoors (sea, forests, hills), appreciating the talent of others (intellectual, artistic, sporty, comic), being with people I like, being active, sun on my skin, having some idea what's happening in the world (though you can't believe all you read), playing sport (squash, golf, tennis), trying new activities, going to new places, staying fit, honesty and integrity, red wine and mature cheese, snuggling up with my favourite person, a warm bed 5 mins before I have to get up. I don't like ... violence, cruelty, bullying, insensitivity, fanaticism, intolerance or greed in others, TV soaps, base humour, being ill, tabloid sensationalist media, a warm bed 1 second before I have to get up. I get bored with ... long winters, decorating the house, people who start every sentence with "I .... " You won't find me ... in nightclubs or singles bars, or sat in front of the TV all evening. And you? Well the ideal of course, is to fall madly and deeply in love and live happily ever after in a pink, fuzzy-edged world. Hmmmm ... unlikely! The base though, is to meet someone who kind of nodded through my likes and dislikes above, who is looking for a balanced relationship (not looking to mother someone or needing a father-figure), has a good understanding of themselves and their place in the world. Someone who wouldn't describe themself as a 'baby-doll', 'angel' or 'princess' or even 'beautiful inside and out' (Ugh !). Physical attractiveness needs a mention too. It's difficult (if not impossible) to get physically close with someone if the attraction is not there.
