I have been reading A  lot of the blogs on here this morning.. and just feel like I need to write this... Yes there are a lot of scammers on these sites... But not everyone from africa, Ghana or nigeria is a scammer... there are actually some nice people from those countries who hate these scammers as much as we do... And it is sad that people are being scammed out of so much money, in excess of one billion dollars so far... But people need to realize that if you meet someone online, there is always the chance that they are not who they say they are, and that you should never under any circumstances send money to anyone you meet online... now for a few tips and facts that I have learned from dealing with these idiots.. one, they are all supposedly from america and working in ghana at least the men are... the women are either looking for a nice man or being held prisoner... they are all beautiful people, cuz they still model pics...  but this is a very organized group of people.. there have been a couple of cases where they have threatened people and had enough information about their lives and movements for the government to take it seriously enough to put them into witness protection programs for their safety and the safety of their families... also they will want to send gifts to you sometimes..these things have been purchased with stolen credit cards, and you can end up in prison for receipt of stolen property if you accept these gifts as happened to one woman... so these people can be dangerous.. the best thing to do is just never under any circumstances send them money... but to blame all africans for what this group is doing is like blaming all Iraqi's for what saddam did, or blaming all whites for what the KKK did... not right....
