![]() | Hmmm.....Well, it's so unfortunate about the stigma about Africans......Very unfortunate.....I am a South African, I have also heard people from certain countries, which I wouldn't mention, but certainly not AFRICANS......trying to scam you...I am not saying this just to defend Africans, but what I am trying to say is that, it is not a good thing to keep saying all African people are scammers, I don't see that as a polite word(s) at all......Anyways, maybe it's just my own thought...... | ![]() |

![]() | I was almost taken in. I had talked to someone who was originally from the states then went to Nigeria. Talk about a con. He had wanted me to give him my credit card number so that "His agent"could money on the card and then I could send it to him,Supposedly he didn't have a bank account over there. He sent a check wanted me to wire him the money after he gave me 1,500.I would have to wire it in amounts of 50 I think is what he said. The check was mailed from California with a either a BurgerKing or mcdonalds address. The check was drawn on a bank in Florida and the account was closed. I knew from the start it was all bogus but needed as much info as possible to report. The conversation was about money and he got very leery when I would talk about an appointment with my lawyer which had nothing to do with him. This person hasn't been on line for 192 days. Just be careful if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. Don't fall for I can't cash a check wherever they are as to they don't have any account. His id was john_francis011 | ![]() |

![]() | my intention was just to clarify position. i have very good friends from Africa. if you read my blog it is positive to Africans and not negative. what i have emphasized is that if everybody is careful then all bad elements would disappear automatically. | ![]() |

![]() | what a great idea: fall in love with someone you have never met, go to visit, and get kidnapped, held for ransom, then cut up and served to the starving masses in lagos or somewhere.... right! | ![]() |

![]() | Proven fact that if some of you "Narrow Minded Hillbillies" are taken in by not only Nigerians, People from Eastern Europe are no different than Nigerians, Russians, Ukrainians are no different when it comes to running Scams, many in the Eastern European nations will talk sweet to you and try and make you think they like you and somewhere down the line they will start speaking of visas and payments (LOL), makes me laugh when they do that. Moreso when you have some who will contact your profile and speak of hello Dear with the intial Contact, that is a first sign of scam, think positive, explore the possibilities, keep an open mind, beware of their concept, quiz them, when they speak of being stranded in NIgeria respond with an open mind and tell them to visit their embassy there at least that was how I was taught when I was in the Military in Germany, especially Americans who Travel to many counries. | ![]() |
