Your ability to use your will can improve.
Around March 6th on National Public Radio (NPR.org) some research was presented: 1. The person interviewed said that Will is like a muscle. A person can bulk up.
2. When a person uses their Will it is temporarily depleted, making likely "giving in" the next time.
Delaying desires is a theme in my life currently. To build will power, use your Will regularly. Having more will power is like having bigger lungs, a capacity.
How long can you hold your breath? Watch a second hand at the beginning then again when you are close to your limit. Can you delay another 10 seconds? That is when you get the increase in capacity.
Each of my 6, now adult, children reached a goal of 90 seconds. Try it. Many start at 25 to 35 seconds.
Will and Flow can and should work together in our lives. Dancing is an example. Normally it is all flow. Your Will can surge as you increase your dancing pace and complexity.
Little is accomplished in life by those who are easily blown by the winds of desire or fear. Stand firmly. Find your flow.
