 | Are you married or single? If you are married, do you have some
complaints about your partner? I often hear my friends and colleagues
around me keep rambling about the shortcomings and mistakes of their
spouses. To me, they are rather particular about their counterparts.
Life is life, full of bitter and sweetness. Experiencing the time spent
with her (or him) is biggest joy, I can say. I got married with my current wife twenty-four years ago. She is my
second wife. The first one who married me three years earlier is
Brittany, with whom I got divorced shortly after we got married. I have
to say Brittany used to be very tyrannical in my home and our life. She
had a strong desire and wished to control everything around us. For
example, when I took her to a formal party or diner, I suggested that
she had better wear Tiffany rings and high heel shoes. She did wear sexy dress and high shoes, but they
must be something different from what I advised her to wear. At present,
though more than twenty years has passed, I still cannot figure out the
reason why we have so little in common and what brought us together,
for a short while tough, about three year, to be exact. Catherine is my second wife, a plain Jane when I met her. At that time,
she was still single and I had become a divorce man. We got married in a
hurry, for I need to find a mother for my little daughter. Luckily
enough, I find Catherine is a good wife and step-mother. She is being
kind, patient and tolerant in this family. But according to the
revelation of her mother, she used to be rather spoilt when she was
young, I once asked why she became so obedient in our house, she just
smiled and returned to her housework. To control or to be controlled after marriage, that is the question.
Here is another example. Many men prefer to smoke in that they think
smoking can help them to build a manlier image. A majority of them
confess that they do not like the taste of tobacco, while they still
take to the habitual motions of taking out a cigarette from the packet.
They like to give up smoking any time they are told to do so by their
partners. Strange but funny enough, right?
