There are also ways of restricting entry from certain countries so that those cannot actually gain access to the site (heck, China does it often enough). Agree, though, that it would be good if the quality could be increased as the concept will otherwise fail if the site gets a reputation for having nothing but con-artists and frauds.

I must have had thousands of letters from scammers, both on here and other sites.

Without exception, they are glaringly obvious and I usually treat them as a bit of a joke. If I'm feeling naughty, I tease them a bit and start asking progressively more awkward questions.

In the end, they are a pretty harmless nuisance unless you are dense enough to be taken in. They are a symptom of the opinion, widely held in the Third World, that westerners have more money than sense and deal with every problem by throwing money at it.

Now I wonder where they got that idea............................ : )
