Love -- What It Is And What It Isn't


	This is how I see love. There's a moment in Footloose when Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer are out at some school football field. Lori Singer's character had just been assaulted by her ex. Kevin Bacon's character comes in to give her solace. It's a cheesy moment to be sure, but it's actually not. Bacon's character takes out a music box which plays a bit of the song "Almost Paradise". Singer's character looks at Bacon's and they kiss. That is how love should feel. That is what love isn't. Love is more like the entire Annie Hall film. You get together, you find something wrong in the other person, you go out trying to deal with that flaw in the other person or you end up trying to fix the flaw until you drive the person or yourself crazy into breaking up. That is what love really is -- most of the time. I'd like to really be in the love that "isn't". It's not realistic, but most of what we desire isn't realistic in the least. For instance, I don't want to get married. I feel that people put too much on togetherness through that act. If you wanna be with me, you wanna be with me. Piece of legal paper or not. There are some women who come from the "how will it look?" standpoint. They believe that if they don't get married their parents will get mad at them and perhaps disown them. It also appears to them like that woman is a slut. I want a woman to be herself without too much fear. Sure you should be uncertain at times, they should be natural. But when it comes to how another sees you when it comes to whether you have a ring on your finger or not, that shouldn't matter or determine whether you are with someone. But again, this is what love is. People get married. Love isn't two people getting together and that's that. It's not cute enough. I'll settle for a nice package of the "cute" and the "not-so-cute" of love if that's possible. (leaping off soapbox)

	I am CHRISTEI form CAMEROON in relationship i do believe there should be trust,believe and understand because this are all the most important thing relationship have to go with and without all this between the two couples i don't think the relationship will work and last forever which i do always pray to Almighty God to have such a person who have all this in his heart in my life...
