Believe it or not there is less reason for people to lie or hide facts about themselves online, so most people’s inhibitions will be down and you will usually be getting a far more accurate picture of a person than you would if you met them after a few drinks at the weekend.

If you’re still not sold on the idea of online dating, simply consider the time and money it will save you. Most dating sites charge less for a month’s subscription than you would spend on a night out anyway, so you can forget throwing money down the drain in the search of that perfect somebody.
