Fake profiles are easy to recognize by one or all the following:
- Fake photos, they are usually extracted from some other dating websites, you can spot these photos by clicking on the main photo itself, if the photo is still very small size and blurred in the profile, that is an indication! But that is not always the case, it's just one thing you can consider. You can find some photos in multiple profiles in the same time! These scammers usually use "gorgeous" ladies and sexy photos for easy attraction.
- There is a way of talking , or writing letters, something like " I saw your profile today and I became interested in you...", " I'm Jennifer by name..", "I'm miss Joy, Miss Shit, etc.."and mostly they are fake US or GB profiles. Just watch the grammar, sometimes it is awful!
- If you ask the scammer ; Where are you living? They will usually reply by saying: I'm originally an American (or was living in the US, or somewhere else), but now living in ...... Usually an African country! You want to be sure? Just ask for their phone number and tell them you want to talk to them!
- They usually and quickly ask for your email (from the first message), sometimes they wait for one or two messages.
- My experience with these scammers are specifically with ladies profiles, but of course behind these ladies names many men "hunting for "older" men with probably fatter wallets!
I just wanted to say that the above indications are not always right, but they are mostly correct, just use your sense.
