No, this is not a paid site. Totally free. And, yes many of the profiles are fake, though many are real. We work on getting rid of fake ones and any suggestions are very appreciated.

I think a lot of the Eastern European (Russia/Ukraine etc) profiles are fake and also a lot of the African ones. The first ever contact I initiated on here turned out to be a scammer and this has made me wary. It's not fair on the genuine ones wanting to make contact (but life is like that!)
As the scammers will invariably be using a good looking photo of a lady (or chap - I wouldn't know!) maybe it's safer if we only contact ugly women from now on ::snigger::

well bob i think only the ugly girls would want you anyway hehehe but lets be honest!! if any girl or guy ask's you for money then your radar should tell you they as scammers and it doesent matter where they say they come from or if they have great pics your own intelligence should tell you that money is there only goal!! so be careful and be warned not all beautiful girls are scammers and maybe not all ugly girls are straight!!

 
Well my picture is real taken Jan.1, 2007 in my bedroom background is my curtains. I'm very real, however, I feel most men are fake and have encountered many of them...so what is the point of the challenge, seek out the real ones...

One thing I have found increasingly frustrating are the women who's profile state that they are from one country but when you actually talk with them are actually in Africa. I am still wondering if there are any young American women still actually residing in America because all the women iI have talked to seem to be in Africa visiting relatives or on projects working on projects there. I keep asking myself when did they move America?

i agree ,i have been contacted by several scammers, with all kinds of storys. mostly from russia. husband dying and need help to transfer a ton of money to america. family dying. just have to use common sense and send no money. it makes it hard for the honest ones.a little time and you can tell if they are scammers or not. is it worth a little time to find out if true love floats or scammers rule....

Look, everyone, Babes and Janet have a valid point. it works both ways and you can not trust a picture or what you read. No matter of the looks. Good common sense is what you need and learn how to check things and learn the right questions to ask and do not judge everyone as bad before you have proof!

Why would you trust someone at face value? you must be either stupid or desperate to begin to trust and believe when you just me t online. I think a more intelligent approach should be employed when dealing with identities on the internet, and especially on sites like this one rather than the emotional approach we all to easily employ.

my picture is real. It was taken at Graceland when I was on vacation. Had a wonderful time there too. One general rule that will fit anywhere..... if it looks to good to be true it usually is. The only way to tell if a person is real is by investing some time. Usually by the third or fourth email the scammer is into their routine.

there is a good way to fined out who thay are . I do this i ask them about were thay are ? if like thay say california , or new york , ask them things about those citys , and you can bet if there from africa or a fake , thay will not know . All so if your from the U. S. A . ask them about are slang . Thay do not know are slang , or how usa people use it . like if there from new york , thay should know about there gangs , but thay dont , this one guy told me he was drving from L. A. to oklahoma and he would be here on friday . It was thursday , you can not drive from LA to okla homa in one day lol , oh and my pic is real all so i live in tulsa oklahoma , collages tu osu and the city of faith oal roberts . river city parks , then oklahoma city , moore , and oklahoma is by texas , arkansaw , well you get the ideal , the frist time i was on here i was used badly by a conman , because i was new to this stuff but i learned fast , to ask them things about the U. S.
