 | Seriously. So far all I`ve seen are foriegners sending generic emails that could be sent to anyone. In broken English. One even said she was from Houstan, Texas, Missouri?! It seems to me the only people at risk are the mentally deficient, or the REALLY desperate. Here`s a tip: if a smokin` hottie shows interest, and you are average looking, at best, odds are it`s a scam. "Looks don`t matter" should always have "..." after it. For instance; Looks don`t matter... if you are rich; Looks don`t matter... if you`ve known each other for awhile; Looks don`t matter... if they`ve had a ton of bad expieriences and are doing the opposite out of desperation; Etc. At first, looks do matter. So when "Katya", the Eastern European school teacher who looks like a model and is twenty-something, is "hoping find special loving and kind someone" wants your info, DON`T DO IT. There`s wishful thinking, and then there`s STUPID! And then you have the nerve to Blog about so-and-so being a scammer, so-and-so is a fake. You might as well title your Blog "Guess how stupid I am?" And listing their name as a scammer?! Boy, you showed them! Eventually they`re gonna have to invest 5 minutes making a new profile. Way to go! You`ve really done us a service. "BOO-HOO! So-and-so was mean to me." That`s not blogging. That`s whining. And FYI: If someone profits from anothers` misfortune or ignorance and gets away with it...that`s not scamming, it`s good business, a.k.a., The American Way. And if you disagree, think about this the next time you sell your car,and omit some facts to get a better price, or sue someone, not because it`s justified, but BECAUSE YOU CAN. "Laughing all the way to the bank", a very, VERY popular saying, and not just among "scammers". And there ARE exceptions to the rule, which brings to mind another very popular saying, "Nice guys finish last". Sad, but oh so true. But such is the world we`ve created for ourselves. So next time you feel the urge to bemoan the injustice of the world, in typed form, instead go do something kind, generous and/or thoughtful for someone for no reason what-so-ever, just because. Because think about this...if everyone considered others before themselves, how many people would be looking out for you. Everyone. Then "scammers" would be the exception to the rule. Wow, what started as a simple statement against whining really got out of hand, didn`t it? | |
