I got that all the time, and most of them want to visit my country or want me to go and rescue them from some hardship and they are always rich and had Inherited a big amount of money but they cant claim it unless i go and help them!!!

Your tips are right on the money here. But, since this is an open forum, the Ghanaian and Nigerian scammers can also read these tips and adjust their scams accordingly. They are already grabbing non model pictures and improving their English.

I believe that this is a major problem on this site, i have gotton so many messages from scammers that i just assumed that this was a scammer site, i am kike the other guy, i will really fuck with them and really lead them on, even going as far as telling them that i sent the money and i can't understand why it's not there. there really needs to be something done, i do report them but i continue to see their pictures on the site. I hpe we can rid the site of them, i am serious in my search and it really pisses me off.

Take it from one who has been scammed, I can spot them, smell them a mile away. Yes they all talk the same, very bad English and the "cos" is getting old. lol

I caught several here now, one I played until he finally asked for the $5300 and at that point I let him have it and boy did he get upset. He claimed to be real sent me his personal information (so he claims), wanted to marry me and claimed he made reservations to come to meet me...lol if I had seen this forum sooner I would have saved the information and passed it along, he was good, his English was pretty good I must say, he was one of the smarter ones. Still I laugh at all of them in the end and if you want to really waste there "time online" go along and claim to fall in love, now that was the best one ever, he is on this site "spaklesups". Once I called him a scammer he got really violent, it played him to the end. He was emailing me with such nasty emails I had to report him to yahoo and close out my email, it got that bad, he was the nasties man/women scammer ever. So I say please watch your back, read all emails carefully and don't ever send money because they will win... Take care all

Here's a couple more to watch out for:

Some will insist that they are "from the US" or "from the USA". That's generally not how Americans will refer to where they're from (I'm being coy since I know they'll read this and don't want to give them ammunition to get even smarter about how they refer to themselves).

One recently tried to insist -- with the worst English possible -- that she was a nursing student in Las Vegas. So I asked where she studied. "university of NV" was the answer. Again, no one who ever would have attended University of Nevada in Las Vegas would have ever referred to the place as anything but the 4 initials for it.

Once you see through the scams, it just gets easier to see the next ones when they happen. Be careful out there.

I'm not exactly the brightest person in the world I admit but even I can spot these scammers a mile off and find it hard to believe that people get taken in by them. Guess it is a little sad that people can get so lonely etc and in desperation be blinded to these fraudsters. Do the authorities in Nigeria, Ghana, or wherever do anything to crack down on these scamming swine?

What a bunch of shit ! Sheesh, I hope you guys have figured out that this is a Site made by and for SCAMmers.
The first giveaway islocation..... it is BullShit.

These scammers seem to also say "OK?" or "OKAY" after most of their sentences. it can get irritating. I have traded many letters with ladies that end up in Nigeria or Ghana and several of them end with OKAY a lot.
A sign to be even more cautious.

To add: I do not believe for one second that the people who built this site are interested in scammers. They are not interested in denying free speech to deal with them, either. They leave it up to us to use common sense and not be stupid enough to send money to anyone. This site really is unique for this very reason.

I got an instant messadge today from a guy who said he was in "cali"sent me 2 pictures (good looking guy) said he was 42 but the im id said it was a "nancy baker " I asked why he was using a girls name was it his wife? he said it was his (9 year old daughter`s Id )I thought do many 9 year olds have email addresses but it took me a little longer to hang up the conversation I asked his real name and he said spanky comb!!!???? what the hell and yes he did mention africa said his dad was a former us ambassador in africa.
